The Situation: I wanted to create a social media presence for BlueYouth today. I wanted to create this presence so that we had multiple platforms to spread our message across, and multiple ways that people could discover our organization.
What Actions I Took: Today I did a few things on Blue Youth. I started accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook. Then I took my shareables that I found yesterday on Instagram and I screenshotted them and put them all in a blog post called "Instagram Posts to Inspire You" and attached links. I then updated my very first blog post about why I started Blue Youth, and then took all of my social media accounts and put them on rallysite. Now I am writing this blog post as my very last activity of the day, this all took me about 3 hours.
What I Hope to Achieve: I hope that by doing this that people can find BlueYouth not just through our website, but through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest. And I hope that by having an active social media presence it not only brings awareness to certain situations, but encourages people to post their political ideas on their social media too.
